Pienten populaatioiden jalostus - Breeding of small populations

Luennolla käsitellään perinnöllisyyden perusteet, sukusiitos, perinnöllinen monimuotoisuus ja miten näitä voidaan hallita pienissä populaatioissa erilaisten menetelmien avulla. 

In this lecture we go through basics of inheritance, inbreeding, genetic diversity and how these can be controlled in small populations with different tools. 

Jalostusindeksit - Breeding indices 

Luennolla käsitellään perinnöllisyyden perusteet, mitä ominaisuuksia voidaan jalostaa indeksien avulla, mitä ovat jalostusindeksit ja miten niitä voidaan käyttää jalostuksen työkaluina. 

In this lecture we go through basics of inheritance, what traits we can breed with indices, what are breeding indices and how we can use those as a tool for breeding. 
 

Roturisteytykset - Crossbreeding

Tällä luennolla käydään läpi mitä roturisteytyksillä tarkoitetaan, mitä hyötyjä ja haittoja on roturisteytyksistä ja miten niitä voidaan käyttää jalostuksessa apuna. 

In this lecture we go through what is crossbreeding, what are the pros and cons and how we can use crossbreeding as a tool for breeding.
